Kayac has released EvaNavi SF on U.S. App Store. EvaNavi SF is a voice guidance app in which a character from Rebuild of Evangelion gives you a tour around the city of San Francisco. This app was released celebrating the special Evangelion event in the 4th J-POP Summit Festival to be held on August 25 and 26 in San Francisco.

■ Features of EvaNavi SF
The character who gives you a tour is “Mari Illustrious Makinami (voiced by Trina Nishimura in English version),” a popular character from Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. In San Francisco, there are various facilities that represent Japanese pop culture, among which EvaNavi SF guides you to about 60 locations including many famous spots. The app features places such as “NEW PEOPLE,” a J-POP culture facility where visitors can enjoy Japanese fashion and movies, “Hotel Tomo” designed under the theme of Japanese anime, “Cartoon Art Museum,” a must-see spot for anime game enthusiasts, and “Blowfish Sushi to Die For,” a Japanese restaurant serving sushi and anime entertainment. The app also guides you to old bookstores, peculiar restaurants and other spots that do not appear in conventional guidebooks. By following the voice guidance, you can feel as if you are walking through the city with the character.

■ How to use EvaNavi SF
Download and launch the app and walk around the city of San Francisco. When you approach one of about 60 spots featured in the app, GPS detects your location and Mari Illustrious Makinami starts providing voice guidance about the spot in English.
