KAYAC announces that it has invested in Tier One Entertainment through the Pre-series A Round(convertible bonds with share subscription rights), which is a pioneer in games and esports entertainment company in Southeast Asia.
KAYAC has been active in Game and Esports industry through, orinigal games like "Bokura no Koshien! Pocket" and "Park Master", Japan's largest game community "Lobi", tournament platform "Tonamel" which allows organizers to manage the tournament easiler than ever before, and "Wellplayed Rizest", a company in KAYAC group who aims to become the Japan's strongest esports leading company.
Meanwhile, Tier One Entertainment is an esports and game talent agency founded in 2017 by Tryke Gutierres, who has been involved in the development of game community in Southeast Asia, and Alodia Gosiengfiao, who is a well-known influencer in Philippine. With the largest class of 420 influencers in Southeast Asia, cumulative reach of 90 million on Facebook, 20 million on YouTube, 7.4 million on Instagram and 8.9 million on Tiktok, Tier One Entertainmant is expanding the business in Malaysia, Myanmar and Philippines with its influential power in the Southeast Asian esports scene. So far, the collaboration companies include Razer, Facebook Gaming, Ace Saatchi & Saatchi, Unilever, Foodpanda, Grab and Uniqlo, and in this round Warner Music Group, Octava, Atlas Ventures will participate.
KAYAC regards the game community area represented by e-sports as one of the future growth drivers, and by building cooperation and partnership with Tier One Entertainment through this investment, KAYAC group will accelerate the overseas expansion of the e-sports business.
Going forward, both companies will contribute to the development of the e-sports market while coordinating in their strength in the "community" field.
