Announcement regarding assignment of HOUSECO | KAYAC

KAYAC Inc. (head office: Kamakura-shi, Kanagawa; Representative Director and CEO: Daisuke Yanasawa; hereinafter called KAYAC) announces that it has agreed to assign HOUSECO, KAYAC’s website to bring together architects and clients, to SuMiKa Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Katsuya Tamaki).

KAYAC has a stake in SuMiKa established on June 3, 2013. Considering investment into and development of HOUSECO business, KAYAC decided to assign the business to SuMiKa, which focuses on “developing, producing, and operating web services in the housing industry.” After the completion of assignment, the two companies will work together to expand and develop HOUSECO business.

In 1997, the business started as HOUSE COMPETITION, an Internet service on which clients hold competitions to call for architects. On the website, users can launch a project to call for a partner architect, or seek advice of architects. While featuring over 13,000 housing portfolios by architects, the website also offers blogs (reports) in which architects and users provide the latest housing information and reports of house building process.
