This app, if launched while watching the horror film Sadako 3D 2 at a movie theater, shows various curses along with the film.It provides an unprecedented style of cinema experience that changes the norm of films with “Smartphone 4D” because audiences watch the film while keeping their smartphones turned on.KAYAC was responsible for the process from creating ideas through developing the app.
The app surprises users with sudden flash, messages, scary 3D visuals, and sound effects. Users can experience the film like enjoying an attraction. Smartphones become a second screen that provides 360-degree fear.
KAYAC finished the app through repeated meetings and previews with director and staff, and trial and error with the direction/planning team in implementing the app.
Immediately after the official preview, many comments were posted on Twitter and Facebook. The film was highly evaluated in film review sites and comments at AppStore and GooglePlay. What also attracted attention was a scary footage offered at a special website that allows users to test how the film and app work together.
